Solar Impuse Pvt Ltd, a company established under the Sri Lankan law, was launched in 2011.The company is set up as per the model of social business and employs youth trained by the Building A Future Foundation. During the incubation period, BAF Foundation provides its support to this company in terms of management, accounting, marketing and HR.
 
Solar Impulse does marine electronics, motor winding, composite works, mast and boom making in aluminum, rigging in cable and textile, sail making, rib making and tube making for ribs, boat launching, harbor and mooring works with barge and divers, etc.
 
Solar Impulse Pvt Ltd distributes its products locally and uses BAFF Polymech Pvt Ltd as platform for the export of its products. Solar Impulse also works with public organization and institutions such as the Ceynor Foundation and the Sri Lankan Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
