Trimaran Sashimi MK1
The 13,8 m harbor based trimaran was designed by the Australian company All seas. The prototype boat was built by 15 trainees under the guidance of an Australian expert boat builder. After the launch in June 2007, the boat was tested by local fishermen during one year to identify necessary improvements and modifications. In 2011, the boat is in the industrialization phase and the first boat that will be produced will sail to Somalia end 2011.
Mast, sails and rigging are manufactured by Solar Impulse Pvt Ltd, one of BAFF’s spin offs.
