Commitments 2011-2014

Having started the pioneering work during the last 6 years in Sri Lanka, we have accumulated experience and knowledge in building capacity and economic empowerment towards underprivileged youth. We have developed sustainable fishing boats concepts, designs, prototypes and ideas which we are eager to share and which can be replicated in specific contexts with implementing and financial partners.

Building A Future intends to implement its innovative concepts internationally to create a real effect of scale and a positive impact in other’s people lives by setting up strategic partnerships with national and international organizations and businesses well established in coastal regions in Africa, the Middle East, South and South East Asia.

 
Our objective for the future is to develop on a larger but realistic scale our endeavor to reintroduce sail power in the fisheries sector and to spread concept of sustainability both economically, ecologically and socially for the benefit of communities depending on the resources of the ocean.The aim is to raise the income of poor population while improving nutrition in an environmental friendly approach.
